Every time we have ever seen Kyle, even while battling this horrible disease, he always had the same happy, infectious smile and shining eyes that projected the loving, kind soul that he was. Our hearts aches for the Egans who continue to show incredible, inspiring resilience and strength. The world will be a less happy place without Kyle but while his body was cruelly taken far too soon by this horrible disease, his spirit has touched and inspired more than most could ever hope for and his legacy of love, kindness and courage will live forever in our hearts. Kyle is one of the greatest kids I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and an even greater privilege of being able to call him my friend. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Egan, for the gift of Kyle. My husband, Joshua Powers, was truly enriched by Kyle’s friendship, humility, and bravery. For almost 20 yrs Josh had given up running due to his difficulties with Type 1 diabetes. Kyle’s strength gave Josh strength to run again. Your family is in my thoughts.
