The years I worked for Bill Smith were some of the best of my career, made so because Bill was an amazing boss, mentor, friend, advisor, and coach. Thanks, Bill, for taking a chance and hiring "the kid" from the Midwest!

I was one of many D&B alums who had the pleasure of working for Bill. When you'd walk into his office you were immediately struck by all the photos of people who worked for Bill. I once commented that he could get in trouble for demonstrating so much respect for his staff, Bill laughed and said he knew, and didn't care! I'll always remember his warmth and humanity.

RIP Bill. I am the successful sales person I am today because for Bill Smith. Bill gave me my first job interview in his office in the World Trades, I think it was #5. He recommended me to be hired my Dun & Bradstreet in 1987. I remember when they made him move to NJ and he still smoked in his office. He was quick with joke or a light of your smoke. He knew everybody everywhere we went. We talked sales strategy and college hoops all at the same time. Thank you Bill Smith for being a real man and mentor to so many. Tim Malone
