Although we did not know Eileen well, she was so kind to us when we moved to the neighborhood to care for my elderly parents. We would see each other while walking our dogs or she would stop and chat when going by our house. I miss seeing her and Molly walk by each day as I sit at my desk. We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Eileen was a very kind person.

I am so so sorry for your loss, I just learned of Eileen's passing. I will always remember Eileen with her bright smile and vivacious personality. We were the only dog walkers with dogs that had the same hair color as us - red. I will miss seeing her on our dog walks. She will be greatly missed.
May God bless Eileen and her family.

Miss Eileen was not just our school nurse, but a friend and confidant to each of us. She was always smiling, and even if nothing was wrong students and teachers alike would come visit just for a dose of her kindness, warmth, and giggles. Myself included! She truly loved us all, and listened intently to my stories of the day or my complaints, physical or emotional. She was always positive, and we often laughed that sometimes she was more a therapist than a nurse. She shared her love of family and her dogs, and we chatted about food recipes and gardening. She will never be forgotten... I will forever remember her smiling eyes, her ear to ear grin, and her bubbly laugh. The Probert family.... Thank you for sharing her with us. <3

I’m very sorry to hear about Eileen’s passing.
I remember when I was a student at Japanese school, I often went to her office by getting injured or sick, but sometimes, I visited her office just to talk to her. My English was very poor back then, but she always greeted me with her beautiful smile and listened to my story very patiently. It’s been one of my unforgettable memories of Japanese school.
Thank you so much and will miss you.
Rest In Peace.

During our days at the Japanese school we had many great memories with Eileen. Every time we walked into her office, she always greeted us with the most heart warming smile. She would take care of us when ever we had injuries or was sick. Sometimes we would go visit her office just to see her bright smile and talk to her. One of our memories during the many years spent with her was when she used to sneak a piece of candy or a juice box in our hand in between classes, and hurried us back while saying “don’t tell anyone” with a giggly smile. That would always make our day. We are deeply saddened by her passing, but her memories with us will be forever treasured in our minds.

Speaking to Eileen was always a highlight of my day at NJJS. Her optimistic and down to earth approach to life was always an inspiration. Just seeing her brightened up my day. She could solve any problem - she always knew what to say in any situation. She was a real treasure, and an irreplaceable friend. I will miss so much. She will always be remembered and one of the greatest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing. My condolences to her family which she always spoke so fondly of.

I was so saddened to hear of Eileen's passing. She and I were class mothers in kindergarten and again in 3rd grade for Kevin and my daughter Tracy. She was so funny and we had such a wonderful time together including burning grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids in the teachers lounge and making an awesome director's chair for Mrs. Bowers that all the kids did the artwork for:) I saw her a few times in later years and she was always so friendly and proud of her children and her red headed dog. My deepest sympathy to her family.

We’re so sorry to hear about Eileen’s passing. We’d like to send our condolences. Taiyo, Lulu and Apollo were under loving care of Eileen at the Japanese school. Taiyo’s knee injury, neck injury, Lulu’s nose fracture, Apollo’s allergy and countless other occasions, Eileen was always there with caring and kind smiles to comfort our children. Lulu would visit her office to escape from the classes occasionally, knowing that Eileen would give her a box of juice and some candies to treat the exhaustion from the classroom. They enjoyed each other so much. When Lulu got pierced ears and got in trouble with the school, Eileen told her to stop by every morning, then she’d put bandaids over her earlobes and told everybody that she had little cuts on her ear. Eileen was funny. I shared many laughters even when I was picking up a sick child. We have been missing her a lot since her absence. Eileen, we thank you so much for all that you have done for our children. We extend many thanks to the whole family. Our thoughts, gratitude and prayers are with you. Lots of love,
The Sorenson family

We can’t accept that Eileen has no longer stayed with us. We are very sorry to heard this terribly sad news.
We remember her beautiful smile at The New Jersey Japanese School as a school nurse. She always took care of our students very friendly and kindly every day. I’m not good at speaking English. When we went skiing as a school trip, she and I stayed at the cabin. I was trying to talk to her with little English and she was patient to be with me and listened to my poor English. That was a big memory with her. We miss her very much.
We love you, Eileen from bottle of our heart.
