The sweetest man on Mary Lane is how I describe Paul Thees - a kind, gentle husband, father, and neighbor, who was always ready to quietly lend a hand and help a friend. Mr. Thees, as I called him, is remembered affectionately and with deep gratitude. We in the neighborhood were truly blessed for his quiet and gentle presence for nearly 60 years.

To all the Thees Ladies,
I am so sorry to hear the news of your dad’s passing. So many great memories of him and your family on Mary Lane. Especially after seeing the picture of him with that beetle! I am thinking of you all during this difficult time.
Hugs and prayers from,
Michele, Jeremy and Audrey

My Uncle Paul told me of when he was first married and he couched a Little League Baseball team. My uncle spoke of coming home to eat and having to run out to make the practice. My oldest sister Elaine saw him drive by with a pork chop in his mouth on the way to practice.
What a very giving soul!

Every time I sit down to write something in memory of my Uncle Paul, there are just so many good things to write about him that it leaves me almost blank.
Let me put this into summary and offer the greatest testament that I can give to my Uncle Paul. It is - I had always wished that he were my father. I lacked many things that are were necessary supportive elements to become the fullest individual that one could possibly become. My Uncle Paul, without question, would have made me a better person and he did not lack those supportive elements that I spoke of, in fact, he provided them to me. When my mom (his sister Angela) became a full time job for me to take care of, Uncle Paul was always there for me. He was the one that gave me credit, backed up my every decision, and supported me in every way.
I cannot question God's plan. I can only speak from my soul about my Uncle's strong guidance, insight, and love. I love him more than words can try to express.
God Bless you Uncle Paul! If they have cookouts in heaven, please stay away if they let my father cook!!!!
Your loving Nephew,
Dave
