Obituary of Scott M. Hindon
Scott M. Hindon passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the age of 47. Born in Ridgewood, he was a resident of Fair Lawn before moving to Mahwah. Scott grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, was a 1990 graduate of Midland Park High School and attended Ramapo College of New Jersey where he played baseball. He played in various baseball leagues throughout Bergen County; enjoyed spending time with his friends, attending NJ Devils hockey games with his father and friends; was an avid N.Y. Mets and Dallas Cowboys fan, loved fishing, photography, traveling with Erin, going to the beach, and playing golf. Scott loved listening to, playing and recording music. He was very proud of his accomplishments as a Corporate Travel Manager and Event Planner.
Scott is survived by his loving wife Erin L. Gilligan, cherished daughter Willow A. Hindon; father William (Bill) Hindon, his wife Nora; a step-son Connor H. Haroutunian; two step-daughters: Jenna L. Haroutunian, Nicolette R. Haroutunian; brother Mark A. Hindon; three step-sisters: Kara Isgro, Andrea Cosmillo, her husband Kyle; Deirdre Minissale and two nephews: Brody and K.J.
Scott is also survived by cousins, an aunt and an uncle. Scott is predeceased by his mother Tatiana Laudadio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will be private. Contributions in Scott’s memory may be made to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
