I am so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Jim was a cheerful, kindhearted man and my memories of him are only positive. It’s hard to understand God’s ways sometimes- I know only too well. As I have been traveling this road of grief I’ve been given lots of well meaning but useless advice. Here is what I know: when your heart is breaking and you feel you’ll never be able to go on, stand on what is true, not on how you feel. God is still God and the Truth doesn’t change in spite of how I feel. And just think about how wonderful the reunion will be! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Psalm 34:18

Jim was a special man and friend who knew Jesus as his Savior. Jim is praising and serving God in Heaven with those who have gone before him like our dear friend Andy Gause. I remember Jim’s love for people his smile and most of all serving as a Deacon at MPCRC. Yea that’s when Jim had his ponytail and yea it turned some heads. Jim spoke the simple truth as a Deacon if someone was in need let’s help. Cindy, I mourn with you but I can rejoice because Jim is reborn with a new body in heaven. One day we will be with him again. In Christ alone David Troast

With sadness I learned of Jim's passing. From the entire Donohue family, I extend our deepest sympathies and condolences. Jim was indeed a "friend to all" and a gentleman in every definition of the word. We are especially grateful for Jim's extra helpings of kindness to our late mother, Margaret, and for keeping our beloved 142 Arlington looking as pretty as possible. Jim is missed but will be remembered always.
