Obituary of Thomas M. Morrissey

Thomas M. Morrissey, 86, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ and Tuxedo Park, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Woodcliff Lake. Born in Staten Island, NY to Michael and Winifred Morrissey, he served in Korea with the U.S. Air Force. Upon his discharge from the service, he attended Georgetown University; graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 1958. He married his beloved wife Madeline in 1960. Before retiring in 2010, he was a partner in the firm of Sullivan, Morrissey & Mickle. Tom was an avid golfer and accomplished pianist. He enjoyed engaging in spirited conversations with friends and family especially when discussing his favorite topics, the market and politics.

Tom was predeceased by his parents; as well as by his wife, Madeline, and his sister Patricia Campbell. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jr & Sharon, his daughter and son-in-law, Penelope & Gregory McNally; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Francesca; and 13 grandchildren, Abigail Morrissey, Thomas Morrissey III, Madeline Morrissey, Catherine Morrissey, Theresa Morrissey, Emily McNally Byrne, John McNally, Joseph McNally, Peter McNally, Michela Morrissey, Isabelle Morrissey, Stephen Morrissey and Penelope Morrissey; as well as his sister and brother-in-law Henrietta & Phil Roselli.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff 07481 on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. There will be a funeral liturgy on Monday at 10:30 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
