Sandy, Mary and family.
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of your beloved husband, son, father, brother and dear friend to so many. Joe devoted his life to serving the Lord and is now rejoicing with his Dad and brother in heaven in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. On behalf of the High Mountain Church of The Nazarene we want to extend our condolences to the entire Talone and Fardale Trinity family. We grieve with you and you are continually in our prayers. I began as the senior pastor at High Mountain about the same time that Joe began at Fardale. He was always gracious, warm and welcoming and we had many good conversations. I had not seen him in many years and was stunned to hear the news. Our prayerful support is with you all and want you to know in the days, weeks, and months to come if there is any way we could be of assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Pastor Joe made such an impact on my life since high school, when I joined the youth group as a new believer. Throughout the years he would send me emails checking in and reminding me that he was praying for me. No matter how busy he was, he always made time to answer my questions in depth, and to meet up and give Godly advice. It was uplifting just to be in his presence because of how much joy he had in serving the Lord and knowing Him better every day. John and I are so grateful that he and Sandy were able to come to our wedding, a rare trip out of town on a weekend for them, and read Scripture in the ceremony. The last email I got from Pastor Joe was to congratulate us for expecting our first child in September. We are sad that our boy will not be able to meet Pastor Joe in this life, but will tell him many stories of how Pastor Joe served others and taught the Gospel with his sermons and his actions. Praying for Sandy, Andrew, Dan, Abby and Joey in this difficult time; we grieve with you and look forward to the day we can see Pastor Joe again.

We are sincerely sorry for your loss and extend heartfelt condolences to the family. It's never easy to lose a loved one under any circumstance. Please be assured that our Heavenly Father is aware of your pain and he is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The bible promises that there will be a resurrection (John 5:28, 29) and that God will bring an end to death once and for all (Revelation 21:4). We eagerly await the time when we will never have to experience the deep sorrow caused by loosing a loved one . It is our hope that these words and scriptures will bring you a measure of comfort in the days ahead as you cherish your most treasured memories.

Pastor Joe was such a good friend to us at Community Bible Study. I always enjoyed talking with him in his office as we planned our training day, especially when he had his dog with him! What a wonderful man, pastor, husband, and father. What rejoicing there must be in heaven, but how hard for those he has left behind. My deepest condolences to Sandy and all the family.

One of my favorite memories of Joe was when he was preparing a sermon and really wanted to read a book by the church father Anselm. When I went back to Nyack College where I attended at the time, I checked out the book and brought it back (if I remember it was 2 volumes). When I brought them to him, he was like a kid at Christmas and so excited! He said, "I know how I'm spending my Friday night! Partying with Anselm!" Gonna miss that.

Dan, my brother, I did not know your father but when I viewed his picture on this site, it was obvious that he was filled with deep joy, which only comes from walking with Jesus. I pray that even in the midst of your great and sudden loss, the Spirit will bring you peace...and a great big bear hug from me and all of your family at Cornerstone. God bless you and your family. We love you brother.

Dear Sandy, Mrs.Talone and siblings,
Gosh, I'm so saddened by the news. Mrs. Talone, you hung with Martha, Joan and my mom Ann Peterson years ago, lol. Then I hung out with your clan of kids at church. It's been quite a few years since I saw Joe III but my fond memories of him are so vivid. If there was ever a vote on the: MOST PLEASANT MAN on earth, he would definitely win. But how could he not? ...he was surrounded by the most loving family I ever knew! So sorry for your loss. God keep you strong, ox KEP

Dear Sandy: It is so unexpected to be reuniting with you and our church family in this way. All day I have been trying to recall so many memories of times we all spent together in our youth and how much God has led us in separate ways yet always together. I look forward to the time when we can be together again worshipping our Lord and Savior, praising His holy name.

We are deeply saddened and shocked by this news but find some comfort in knowing where our dear brother now resides. I thought of our time staying with Andrew and Sarah when Pastor Joe and Sandy were such an encouragement to us as we prepared to go to our mission field. Then in visiting Fardale Trinity Church to hear the Word preached with such precision and experience the love of the body there. Our hearts go out to the family there who have lost such a faithful messenger of God. We look forward to our reunion and pray that this would be a comfort to the whole family.

I’m so so saddened to hear that your family, Fardale, and the surrounding community all have lost this dear man. He has had his homegoing but way too early for anyone on this side. He not only preached the gospel well but he showed a committed example to us all of how to love and serve his family well. I was challenged by his example. I will miss him. I am so grateful for the way he handled my grandmother’s memorial service and funeral, my sister’s memorial service and funeral, and just last year, my aunt’s memorial service and funeral which was exactly a year ago from the day of his passing. He loved our family tenderly through all these services. He served my parent’s, along with many others, well at Fardale. We will forever be thankful for his commitment to serve and his commitment to the Gospel. Our loss, heaven’s gain. Please know my prayers are for you all in your time of loss. Joe, you are missed!

Sandy, Abby, Moose, Andrew and Josiah, I am so saddened and sorry to hear about your amazing and beloved father and husband. I always loved coming home from college being greeted by his smile saying "JULLZZ how are you doing, how is school?" He genuinely cared for every member of our church family and made time for everyone. During this past year when my grandmother passed away he was the one that got me through everything. I asked him how could the Lord let this happen to my sweet grammy? He told me the Lord works in mysterious ways and we are not to blame him and lose faith but instead be thankful that she is in a wonderful place with her savior. It fills my heart that he is in heaven with her today and all of the other Fardale family members we have lost. Pastor Joe will always hold a special place in our hearts, remembering his kind words of wisdom, caring personality, as well as his many jokes.

My family was so deeply sorry to hear of Pastor Joe’s passing. We really enjoyed chatting with him when we’d see him. What a special pastor and nice man. My kids love coming to FTC VBS and were also sad to hear the news. But we are also rejoicing at his Homegoing. We will continue to pray for all those grieving this tremendous loss.
