My sincerest condolences to you Brendan and Wes. May knowing what a wonderful woman she was having great memories of her will help you’re scarred hearts. I will deeply miss my dear friend Ellen. To me she was kind ,loyal, helpful, funny and smart. She always had my back whether it was a botched rodent problem where I caught a possum in a rat trap but she helped me handle, weaving me through any legal matter whatsoever, listening to my highs and lows and showing me the beautiful place in which she grew up in Germany, where she very carefully drove us around Nürburgring Formula 1 race track in her girlfriends old tiny station wagon going 85 mph with our 10yr old boys giggling in the backseat while being pasted by Ferraris of going 120miles+an hour. That was my daredevil friend who always took us on a new adventure.
We laughed together and cried together over the last 20 years. She taught me funny jokes about Europeans and yet her heart would swell with empathy about my concerns. As stoic as she acted at times she was so sensitive, especially to others and their needs.
We had a great 20years. Under her awning in her yard many weekends solving the world problems , watching football on my big screen TV, she loved her Steelers (because of Ben) or just hanging in my garden.
Comedy clubs, night clubs, Jersey shore days, debating but always respecting each other. So many memories you gave me that I will cherish. There was never a goodbye... just talk to you later ...
Rest In Peace my dear friend
XO Shelley

Dear Brendan & Wes - I am so very sorry. For several years, I had wanted to reach out to her but living so far away now made it seem challenging. I always thought if I could just go knock on the door, we would somehow end up on the patio again together. I have missed her so much - I can only imagine the pain in your hearts right now. Our families had so many happy memories together. but of course all of the Halloween Parties at the Neal's stand out the most. I wish her Eternal Peace and Happiness and for you the strength to go on without her. We are all thinking of you and remembering the good times
Love
