Obituary of Margaret G. Creange
Margaret (Marge) Kelemen Creange, 87, passed away Friday March 22, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Born on January 13, 1932 in Jersey City and raised in Pennsylvania, Marge eventually moved back to Hudson County and later made her home in Bogota, alongside her late husband, Richard “Babe” Creange and their seven children. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Marge was also a passionate home cook, a keen gardener, and talented seamstress. She loved to crochet afghans and sweaters as wedding presents and baby gifts, and often donated her work to Tomorrow’s Children in Hackensack. . She loved spending time at the Jersey Shore where she lived in Ocean Beach for seven years. , Marge enjoyed reading mystery novels, completing crossword puzzles, watching movies on the Hallmark channel and walking on the beach. She was incredibly proud of her Hungarian heritage, and enjoyed sharing recipes and cultural traditions with her loved ones. Above all her family was her greatest source of joy. Her calling in life was to be a mother and grandmother and she fully embraced it.
Marge had a wonderful sense of humor and a big, caring heart. She was considered a “second mother” to many and always had an open house to welcome friends and relatives.
Marge was predeceased by her mother, Helen Toth Kelemen, her father Alexander Kelemen and her brothers Jospeh and John Kelemen. She is survived by her brother, Alex Kelemen of Bogota, her brother in law Daniel Creange of Linden, and her seven children: Richard and his wife Ann Marie, Russell and Denise, Michael, Steven and his wife Susan, Janet Lennon, Daniel and his wife Mary, and Peggyann and her husband Blaise. She was “Grammie” to 20 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren and leaves behind many loved and loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff.
