I remember being at your house for one of the early meetings for Onstage. Mr and Mrs Walder, Mr and Mrs Croucher, and maybe Mr and Mrs Mathis and Mr and Mrs Gipple were there. I had already known the Conynghams to be a really talented theatrical family. But then when I saw how your mother decorated your house, I remember thinking, "Oh my gosh! They're also a really Catholic family!" And as far as I was concerned, being both really Catholic and really theatrical is about as good as it gets.

Dear Leigh Anne, Peggy and Sean, I was so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. I will always remember her joyful spirit, a spirit that could only come from her faith in our good and loving Savior. I wish I could be down for the Mass on Thursday, but know at least that she and all of you are in my prayers.

I tried to learn so many instruments, but the only instrument I ever stuck with is my voice. I have so many wonderful memories of riding my moped over to Mrs. C's home for voice lessons. She really instilled in me such a love of singing and an appreciation of music. When she would play her piano and sing she would always smile the warmest smile. I still use "Everything's Coming up Roses" as my lucky audition song. A song she loved and encouraged me to sing. I'll miss you Mrs. C.!

I have so many fond memories of Mrs. C. but during my high school years, I took voice lessons at her home to prepare for onstage auditions, and she did wonders for my non existent high school self esteem...she told me I would probably get a lead.. of course that did not happen but still the comment meant the world to me..
