So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I worked with Bob at United Supply Company and was happy to see him again at Aaron when visiting my sister there. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

With deepest sympathy. Bob was the best neighbor we could ever have. He became our dear friend and sure knew how to brighten up our mornings with his greetings everytime we saw him. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace dear friend.

Thank you, my friend, for your loving support in our care for the Washington Congregation. You made every soul feel loved and welcomed, you never had to be asked to do something, and you shared your heart with everyone. We were fortunate to share a friendship with you, and to experience the beaming love that you had for your children and grandchildren. A wonderful family has lost its patriarch, and we keep your dear family, Jo, and all who were close to you in our thoughts and prayers.

When Nancy and I bought our first house, many people gave us tools. The names and purposes of most of them were a complete mystery to us, but they went into the toolbox anyway. One day, I mentioned to Bob that I was having a problem, and he offered to come over and help me work on it. He brought his own tools, but as we worked, he frequently reached into my toolbox, pulled out a "mystery" tool, and said, "Look, you already have what you need for this." Then, he patiently showed me how to use it. The project got done, I learned a lot about tools, but I also got a life lesson that I've carried with me for almost 50 years now: We often have gifts in our "spiritual toolbox" that go unused because we don't recognize them, we don't know how to use them. And, it's a blessing to have a friend who looks into us and says, "You already have what you need for this. Here's how to use it." We are blessed that Bob Maurer was our friend.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. I had known Bob for many years, 30+ from our days at United Supply and then at Aaron & Company. He always spoke proudly and fondly of his family, but especially the grand children, his most treasured people. My deepest condolences to the entire family.
Sincerely, Jackie Piano
