Obituary of Molly Hermann
Molly Michaela Hermann (Prior), 41, of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, passed away January 26, 2019, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, friends and neighbors. She was the wife of her devoted husband Jason C. Hermann and the mother of their two wonderful young boys, Hugh, age 7 and Wesley, age 4.
Molly was the beloved daughter of Hugh David Prior and Anne Winifred (Lavelle) Prior who continue to live in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, in the house Molly grew up in. She leaves behind a brother David Prior, his wife Jeanne Po and their children Hazel and Jonah; a sister Nancy Prior, and her children Maeve and Boone; and a sister Susan Ramage, her husband Jeffrey Ramage and their children Jack and Charlie.
Molly was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph's Academy of Flourtown, Pennsylvania and Syracuse University, where she earned a degree in journalism from the prestigious Newhouse School. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority where she made dear lifetime friends. She was an accomplished writer and journalist, who was the Beauty Editor of Women's Wear Daily in New York. She loved fashion and had many friends in the fashion world.
Molly was a brilliant star who made everyone's life brighter and better by her compassion and love of people. She was a doting mother. She was actively involved in her neighborhood and community and with her boys'schools and sports. She enjoyed time with her family vacationing at the beach or in the mountains. She loved entertaining and travel and was an avid runner and skier. She was a competitive marathon runner who raced with her family and friends and completed the NYC Marathon several times. She had a large, loving and strong heart.
Visiting hours with her family will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Saint Luke's Church in Ho Ho Kus.
Molly's funeral service will be held at 9 am on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Saint Luke's Church, 340 N. Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07432, followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Brain Tumor Association will be appreciated.
