Obituary of Anita M. Wagner

Anita M. Wagner passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 88. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a long time resident of Ho-Ho-Kus. Anita was a member of the Old Paramus Reformed Church in Paramus, a volunteer for the church Holiday Bazar and was an avid bowler with the Ho-Ho-Kus Coffee League. She was also an expert bird wood carver. Anita leaves only happy memories to her husband William whom she was married to for 66 years; daughter Gwen E. Honor, her husband Michael; son Robert W. Wagner, his wife Valerie; five grandchildren: Kristopher, Brandon, Mickey, Linnea, Justine. Anita is also survived by five great grandchildren; a sister Doris L. Friedell; brother William E. Franson, his wife Shirlee and is predeceased by her grandson Brooks. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.  Contributions in Anita’s memory may be made to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps., P.O. Box 81, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423 or to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department, 52 Sheridan Ave., Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423.
