Obituary of Margaret Loyka
Margaret Loyka, 94, of Mahwah, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Born in Shenandoah, PA, Margaret grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. She and her husband Alexander moved to Wyckoff, NJ to raise their family in 1959.
Margaret was a Scheduling Administrator for Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ until she retired. She was a longtime member of the Wyckoff Seniors, Mahwah Seniors, and worked at the Wyckoff Library.
Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years, Alexander, in 1990. She is survived by her children: Stephan and his wife Joann of Ridgewood, Roberta and her husband Chris Redfield of Scott Township, PA, and Peter and his wife Janet of Queenstown, MD. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and her 7 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are on Friday, January 25th from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 26th at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
