Obituary of Emil G. Ekroth

Emil G. Ekroth passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 78. Born in St. Albans, NY, he was a long time resident of Mahwah. Emil was the owner of Emil’s Garage in Mahwah for over 50 years. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association with a lifetime passion for cars. Emil is survived by his loving daughter Teresa A Sabatini, her husband Chris; cherished son Thomas Ekroth, his significant other Patricia Puls and two grandsons: Jake and Chase.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 4-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Emil’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
