Desiree was one of our very best students in our school psychology program.
Not only was she one of brightest students, but one of the most delightful human beings. Her strength and resiliency served as an inspiration to us all, faculty and students alike. The world was a better and brighter place because of Desiree. She will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences to Desiree’s Family. As a former Mahwah High School Teacher of Desiree’s and then many years later a colleague of hers at NVOT, I can strongly agree that she did have a way of walking into the room with a wistful smile. Desiree was truly one of those students who was a pleasure to have in your class and will be long remembered. She made teaching enjoyable, and it was great pleasure to meet her again as an adult many years later. I wish the best for her husband and children; you were blessed to have her as a wife and mother, and I was blessed to have known her.

One of my favorite times spent with Des and her family was our trip to Cooperstown. Spending time at the lake house, sitting around the fire pit roasting marshmallows, while the boys fished on the lake. She was a wonderful friend, and she will always have a special place in my heart!

She will be missed
but will always hold a place in our hearts. A strong woman of faith, love and kindness. Always positive and hopeful. I know God has big plans for her up there. I'm so very sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul.

My friend Scott meets a girl and pretty quickly they announce wedding plans. When I get an invite to Desiree's bridal shower, I'm a little taken back since I don't know her yet. But I go as a representative of Scott's side. In the couple hours I spent in a room of women there to celebrate Desiree's new journey, I quickly learned how loved and amazing she is. I literally left the restaurant that day so happy for Scott and drawn to this new woman in my life. I knew I wanted to be friends. Over the next several years that Scott and Des were together, I had the honor of calling her my friend. I am so heart broken that she was taken away so soon. I will definitely miss you and I wish you eternal peace.

May your beautiful soul rise to the highest of planes. May the Lord continue to hold you in his hands and continue to protect your family as you become their guardian angel.
I had the honor of knowing you. Our girls cheered together and whenever I saw your beautiful face around town, you smiled from ear to ear and always asked how my kids were. Your life was dedicated to your beautiful family and your legacy will live on through them. They are full of goodness and what a huge testament to you.
May you Rest In Peace as you watch this village of men and women hold your children through this challenging time. You were a fighter and a warrior and I am honored that I got to meet you in this lifetime.

You will be missed.
Love,
Brigitte, Addi and Jude Rudman
