Obituary of Peter Lentini, Jr.

Peter Lentini, Jr. age 67 of Waldwick, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Born in Jersey City, Pete lived in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Waldwick 35 years ago.  He most recently retired from Enertech, Inc, a building automation and systems integration company in Hawthorne as Senior Vice President of Operations after over 40 years of service in the HVAC field.

Pete’s hobbies included fly fishing and golfing.  He was a season ticket holder of the NY Giants and a long-standing member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.  He especially loved working on, and occasionally performing, close-up magic.

The loss of such a special husband and friend of 44 years is heartbreaking for his loving wife, Linda (nee Petzold). All will deeply miss his kind and caring nature and most especially his smile and easy humor. Beloved son of Peter Lentini and his late mother, Evelyn (nee Flynn).  He is survived by his brother, Charles and his wife Cheryl, his sister Mary Pell, his sister, Jo Ann Rensch and her husband, Peter, brothers-in-law George Petzold and his wife Sherry, Michael Petzold and his wife, Susan. Among the grieving family are nephews John Petzold and his wife Michelle, Steven Pell, Peter Rensch Jr. Charles Lentini and beloved nieces Nicole Lentini, Sandra Marocchi and her husband, Jeff, Kristin Rensch, Lisa Petzold, Krista Petzold, and Allie Petzold.  The Lentini family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2018, 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.  Funeral mass will be held Monday, 11:00 AM at St. Lukes RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., HoHoKus.  In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s name to St Jude Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
