Obituary of Ellen Brooks

Ellen Brooks, 80, of Allendale, NJ and Weekapaug, RI,  passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018.  Born in Weehawken, NJ, Ellen has lived Allendale for over 50 years.

Ellen volunteered for many organizations including, American Red Cross, Meals on Wheels, Friends of the Allendale Library, and the Junior Women’s Club in Allendale.  Ellen graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s degree.  She was a member of the Weekapaug Golf Club, Weekapaug Yacht Club, Watch Hill Yacht Club and the Weekapaug Foundation for Conservation.

Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bud, her children: Scott and his wife Gretchen and Amy Sarzen and her husband Jay, and her three grandchildren: Charlie, Maggie and Andrew. She is also survived by her brother David.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert.

A celebration of Ellen's Life will be 11:00am on Friday, December 28 at the Highland Presbyterian Church, 270 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ 07401.
