Obituary of Catherine Rizzo

Catherine Rizzo, age 84, of Paramus, passed away on Sunday, November 25th, 2018.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Anthony I. Rizzo; her son Anthony P. Rizzo and his wife, Melissa, her daughter Carol Janes, and her son Kenneth Rizzo and his wife, Gena, her brother John Hohmann and his wife, Nancy. Adoring grandmother to five grandchildren – Elena, Matthew, Janine, Nicholas, and Eric.  She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Magdeline Hohmann.  Always concerned how everyone was doing, she was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. Her grandchildren who meant everything to her, held a special place in her heart. Everyone loved her.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 29th at 10am at Church of the Annunciation, 50 West Midland Ave., Paramus, NJ  07652.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine’s memory can be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, PA  17011.
