Obituary of Gregory L. Fairweather

FAIRWEATHER, Gregory Lyle, age 56 died unexpectedly on Monday, October 22, 2012. Born in Suffern, NY, he lived in Waldwick, Whiting, Oakland and most recently, Hewitt, NJ. Gregory was a loving son, brother, uncle and great uncle. He was a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, Oakland and St. Luke's RC Church, Ho Ho Kus. Gregory received his BA Degree in Art Education from Montclair University. He was employed as a driver for Autopart International, Inc., Wyckoff. Gregory was a generous, sensitive, loving person, who had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. Born on Halloween, Fall was his favorite season, and, as an artist, he captured the natural splendor of God's beauty in his artwork. Gregory had a great love of photography, and his family members were his favorite subjects. His family meant everything to him and he will be sorely missed by all. Gregory is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Catherine Fairweather, and is survived by his three sisters; Carolyn J. & Richard Hughes of Pittsburgh, PA, Janice A. & James Webster of Oakland, and Karen F. Fairweather of Fair Lawn, his three brothers; Paul A. & Renee Fairweather of Ventura, CA, Arthur R. & Charlene Fairweather of New Market, MD, and Donald J. Fairweather and his companion, Victoria Tchoryk of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, three aunts, Christina Hartman, Marie Taranto and Wally Fairweather and three uncles, Bartolomeo and Francis Taranto and Frank Ravese. Also surviving are six nieces & nephews; Gabrielle Hughes, Rachel Hughes-Doichev, MD, William, Carly and Brandon Webster, Lee Fairweather and two great nieces, Maya and Nora Doichev and many loving cousins. Visiting, Friday 2 - 4, 7 - 9 PM at the Olthuis Funeral Home, 201-652-8844, www.ofh.com, 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park, NJ. Prayers will be said Saturday, beginning at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Tpke., Ho Ho Kus, NJ. Interment will follow in Madonna Cemetery, Ft.
