Obituary of Donald G. Kreil

Donald G. Kreil, 86, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, November 13, 2018.  Loving husband of the late Doris Kreil (nee Bandstra).  Cherished father of Donald and Diane Kreil, Sonja and Jack Stokes, Rebecca and Gregg Kobuskie, Naomi and Ed Ritchie, Ben and Jen Kreil, Rachel and Joe De Pinto, Nathaniel Kreil, Isaac Kreil and Hannah Kreil. PopPop to 12 grandchildren and great grandfather of 3.  He is survived by his brothers Allan and Robert Kreil.  Donald was a proud veteran of the Korean War.  He will be remembered for his love of family, a good baseball game, Oreo cookies and camping at Wellesley Island.  The Kreil family will receive friends on Thursday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff.  A graveside service will be held Friday 10:00 AM at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 199, 1 Legion Place, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
