I worked with Blair for many years in the great Equity Derivatives Group at JPM. We didn’t get too much outside light onto the trading floor, but Blair brightened every day with his good humor, even temper, and reliable smile. When I dared to join team golf outings, Blair would be the one to discreetly help me spot my shots, or supply an extra ball if I shot too many into the water. We will miss Blair. My condolences to his family.

Going Forward
How can there be death when we live in each other’s hearts?
How can you be gone when we see you so clearly in your children’s eyes?
Your hearty laugh echoes in our ears.
Do not say that you are gone when you so deftly left your mark:
A husband, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a coach.
But since you cannot be here,
Let’s count on love being stronger than death,
On hope being more pervasive than grief,
On the ties of family, friendship, and community being capable of surmounting this great loss.
Yes, let’s count on each other for that.

I worked with Blair at Sullivan & Cromwell and fondly remember our times together - whether playing on the firm basketball team, softball team or just chatting over lunch. Sadly I lost touch with Blair after S&C, but I have nothing but great memories of the smart, funny, thoughtful, kind, and genuine person I knew. My condolences to his family and his brother Tim, who I remember him speaking of often. He will be missed.

I worked with Blair in 1992 as a paralegal at Sullivan & Cromwell and he was larger than life--in fact we nicknamed him Maximus. Kind, smart and funny were the perfect words to describe him. We lost touch after S&C only to reconnect again at Societe Generale 20+ years later. He was exactly the same sweet, kind, funny and smart person from before but with a family who he spoke of often and loved dearly. He will be very missed!

We will miss Blair and that wonderful laugh of his. In every interaction we were lucky enough to have with Blair, we witnessed what a great father and husband he was. We are saddened that we do not get to continue to share time together but the memories that we have of Blair will help to lighten our heavy hearts.

Blair, we will miss you. You were a passionate, intelligent and truly dedicated to your family. You were "one of the moms" during our many hours of sitting in bleachers and agonizing over our girls. You were that insightful and intelligent voice with whom I shared many political and economic discussions. You felt deeply and passionately. You were also a kind soul. You were taken too too soon, but know we will be there for your family. Blair, you will be missed.
