Obituary of David S. Wesner
David S. Wesner passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 75. Born in Port Carbon, PA he was a long time resident of Franklin Lakes. Before retiring, David was the co-owner of Dashco Inc. in East Rutherford. He was a former member and past president of the Franklin Lakers Lions Club; enjoyed playing tennis and bocce and was an avid N.Y. Giants and N.J. Devils fan. David is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Sandi; three children: Scott Wesner; Becki H. Kerchner, her husband Jeff; Desiree P. Bartell, her husband Bryan; five grandchildren: Jarrod, Bryan, Cole, Brayden and Leanna; his loving puppy Ruby; two brothers: Daniel W. Holtzer, Allen G. Holtzer; two sisters Brenda M. Holtzer and Luanne F. Kruss Mengle. David is predeceased by his brother William A. Holtzer and sister Barbara Jean Buberl.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 3 – 7 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Rd., Franklin Lakes. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s memory may be made to the Franklin Lakes Lions Foundation, P.O. Box 55, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417.
