Obituary of Thelma J. Kulin

Thelma Kulin “MeMa” ( Colaneri) age 89 of Waldwick formerly of Bergenfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Born in Ridgefield Park, Thelma lived in Bergenfield most of her life before moving to Waldwick in 2005. She was a faithful volunteer at the Valley Hospital for the past 18 years. Thelma was a parishioner of St. Luke’s R.C. Church in HoHoKus and attended all sporting and school activities of her grandchildren, as their biggest fan. Surviving are her devoted children, Jerry and his wife Pam, Kathy and her husband Dave Vuoncino, Jamie Kulin, JoAnn Ritter and Jill and her husband Angelo Costello.  MeMa also leaves her 12 adoring grandchildren, Jessica (Ray), Christopher (Suzanne), Mandy (Joe), Alicia (Brendan), Alyson (Dan), Jake, Brandon (Stefanie), Sami, Mallory, Kaleigh (Conrad), Logan and Delaney, her precious great granddaughter, Jemma and many cherished nieces and nephews. Thelma is pre-deceased by her loving husband Jerry who was the light of her life and by her 9 dear brothers and sisters. The Kulin family will receive friends on Monday, 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will be Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Luke’s R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Tpk, HoHoKus. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly.
