Obituary of Anna Doumas Sclafani
Anna Doumas Sclafani passed away at her residence on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of 78. Born and raised in Jersey City, she graduated from Dickinson High School and attended Jersey City State College. She moved to Upper Saddle River after retiring. Anna worked as a bookkeeper at Wohl, Fried, Roth & Kirchenberg, CPA’S, PC until she was 76 years old. Anna was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan and enjoyed attending games. She enjoyed reading and travelling with her family to Virginia and Florida. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Wyckoff. She was a superb alto and sang under maestro Dino Anagnost. Anna is predeceased by her husband Frank Sclafani. She is survived by her sister Alice Malias-Wraga, her husband William; two nieces Lisa Gemma, her husband Dennis; Linda Malias-Passaro, her husband Michael; and nephew Dr. Mark Malias. Anna is also survived by her great nieces and nephews: Christian, Caroline, Nikolas, Leeann, Allissa and Luke. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10th at 10:30 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will follow at the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
