Dear Susan, Katie and Keara, we are so sorry for your loss. Mark was a wonderful man who we will remember fondly. I don't think the yahoo start shack will ever be the same without him. How he managed to deal with sometimes 100s of kids all clamoring to be next in the start with a smile on his face is a credit to his warmth and character. We will certainly miss him and extend our love and thoughts to you. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help. Love, Daniela, Ralph, Marlise and Jacob

Dear McKenna Ladies, I can't tell you how truly sad that I am. I know that just about anyone whoever came to know Mark are all saying the same thing, "what a great guy!" It's far too soon for someone so truly special. Mark was the guy you could always count on, "on the hill", to have a smile on his face and a funny quip. Beyond being a truly great guy, Mark was amazing husband and father. Belleayre will never be the same. I miss him already! Jim Hanstein

Susan and girls, I can't begin to tell you how sorry we are to hear of Mark's passing. He was a special person, one of our favorite people at Belleayre. It was very obvious that he was a loving husband and father-who was extremely proud of his girls. He will be greatly missed. We will not be able to attend the services but we wanted you to know that we have all of you in our prayers.

Dear Susan: I was very sad to hear about your terrible loss. I thought you had gone through as much as anyone can when Keara had to undergo major surgery. When she came out of it all right, and I saw her back on skis, I thought things might be where they were supposed to be for a while in the McKenna family. Mark is mentioned as a model of integrity, honesty, compassion, generosity and humor – I would like to second that. I have known him for 15 seasons at Belleayre. Our paths crossed on many occasions on the Nastar Course. I admired the fact that nothing ever seemed to really get him upset. He had to work with very diverse people and he handled it all in stride. I saw a lot of the above-mentioned qualities in Mark over the last 15 years at Belleayre. I know there is nothing I can say that will take away the pain and sorrow you must be experiencing. The important thing is for you, Keara and Katie to keep busy. Remember all the good times when you were all together. Remember Mark alive and vibrant. I hope you will cherish those memories and not view them as an end. Please find the courage, with the help and support of your family and friends, to move ahead to fill the gap in your life that was so tragically created when Mark was taken away from you. Please be strong. Mark, you will be missed. Kindest regards. Doug (Frog) Aaronson
