Obituary of Frances Wroclawski

WROCLAWSKI Frances Susel, 91, of Indian Trail, NC, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011. Frances was born on February 24, 1920 in Nadanje Selo, Italy. She came to the United States at the age of 7 and lived in Cleveland, Ohio. She enlisted in the Women's Army Corps during WWII. After basic training she was assigned to Miami Beach in the US Air Force. She served in Oxford, England; Cherbourg on the Normandy peninsula; Deauville, France, and Brussels, Belgium. While in Miami Beach, Frances met Jan Wroclawski, and they were married on February 2, 1946. They resided in Brooklyn, New York and eventually moved to Midland Park, New Jersey where they raised their two children, Janet and Richard. Frances owned a successful floral business out of her home in New Jersey. In 1995, Frances moved to Indian Trail, North Carolina and lived in her home the remainder of her years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed studying world history, religion and art. She was the founder of the SAGES (Seniors Aging Gracefully) in Lake Park, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Wroclawski; parents, Frances and Anton Susel; and brother, Edward Susel. Frances' memory will be lovingly cherished by her children, Janet and Jimmy Hudson of Waxhaw, North Carolina; Richard and Vicki Wroclawski of Colleyville, Texas; granddaughter, Jenna Wroclawski of Farmers Branch, Texas; nieces and nephews, numerous friends, and special best friend, Anita Maynard. Graveside Service - 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, New Jersey. Please meet at the cemetery entrance at 11:45 AM.
