Obituary of Betty Blom

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Blom went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the age of 102. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Betty was a long time resident of Upper Saddle River, NJ, before moving to Wyckoff, NJ. She attended the Hawthorne Gospel Church where she sang in the women’s choir and worked in the lending library. She was always ready to volunteer when needed. Betty was faithful in prayer and an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a kind, caring and humble person who was loved by all. Betty was predeceased by her husband Meyer Blom in 2002; five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her loving son Alan M. Blom, his wife Sharon; her adoring grandchildren: David, his wife Jenny; Kristen, Dana, her husband Nicholas; Kelly, her husband Kristor and six cherished great grandchildren: William, Jack, Asher, Drew, Grace and Hannah. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 12:30 p.m at the Christian Health Care, Longview Building #11, in the Great Room, 301 Sicomac Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the Hawthorne Gospel Church, C/O the Missionary Fund, 2000 NJ-208, Hawthorne, NJ 07506.
