Obituary of Matilda Roetman

Matilda Roetman, age 85, of Wyckoff, died on Sunday, June 17, 2018.  Born in Midland Park, she lived in Paterson before moving to Wyckoff 51 years ago.  Matilda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, swimming at the Wyckoff YMCA, loved the beach and enjoyed knitting.

She was a Clerk for Hawthorne Laundry in Hawthorne until she retired.  Matilda was a life-long member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church where she volunteered as a teacher for Friendship Ministries and was a member of Ruth Circle. 

She was a loving mother to Roy and his wife Anna of Haledon, Gary and his wife Adrienne of Butler, Sharon and her husband Brian Hendrickson of Wyckoff, and Sandee and her husband Mark Gallagher of Hardyston, beloved grandmother to: Tara and her husband Josh Dautel, Chris Roetman, Nick and Abby Hendrickson and Brayden Gallagher.  She is also survived by her sister Janice Hey, her uncle Clarence Baker, and beloved in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John in 1995. 

The family will receive friends on Friday 6 - 9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. 

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, 10:00 am at the Christian Reformed Church of Midland Park, 183 Godwin Ave., Midland Park, NJ  07432.
