Obituary of Leonard J Krieger, Sr.

Leonard J. Krieger, Sr., age 87 of Waldwick, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  Leonard was born in Queens, NY and has lived in Waldwick for the past 62 years.    He served his country during the Korean War, serving in the US Army.  Leonard was a very active and longtime parishioner of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park.   He was predeceased by the love of his life, Ada C. Krieger in 2009.  Surviving are his son, Len J. Krieger, Jr. and his wife, Jane of Clark, NJ and his daughter, Carol Lynn Krieger-Hall and her husband, Lee of West Caldwell, NJ.  Also surviving are his five loving grandchildren; Nicholas, Michael, Peter, Joseph and Alexander and his four great grandchildren; Ryan, Sean, Matthew and Cora. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 am at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street. Midland Park, NJ.  The interment will follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Ho Ho Kus, NJ.  As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to Church of the Nativity.
