Obituary of Charles Lohr II

Lohr, Charles H., II, age 47, of Lake Hopatcong, formerly of Glen Rock, NJ died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood surrounded by his loving wife and devoted family. He was born in Washington, D.C. and resided in Glen Rock before moving to Lake Hopatcong 7 years ago. Charles was Director of Marketing for the ISIS Corp., Oakland for the past 16 years. He currently was serving as President of Lake Winona Civic Association, Lake Hopatcong. He grew up in Glen Rock and went to St. Catharine's, Bergen Catholic High School and graduated from Wagner College. He supported several charities, notably DonateA. Our special thanks to all those who gave him such exceptional care at the Valley Hospital. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Alison (nee Meier) of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, his parents Andrew and Patricia Lohr, Sr. of Glen Rock and his brothers and sisters; Donna (Peter) Cafone of Ridgewood, Andrew (Allison) Lohr, Jr. of Glen Rock, Nancy McGohey of Ridgewood and William (Jennifer) Lohr of Glen Rock. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, Carlton and Susan Meier of Glen Rock, his sister-in-law Cindy (Michael) Lota of Glen Rock, NJ, and 11 loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday 7-9 pm and Sunday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, 10:00 AM at St. Catharine's RC Church, 905 Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' memory may be made to Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
