Obituary of Arlene Ruth Cooper

Cooper, Arlene (nee Davis) age 79 of Wyckoff, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Friday, April 27, 2018.

Surviving is her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald, her devoted children, Lizabeth Corcoran (Paul), Aimee Umidi (Jason), Betsey Sancetta (Michael) and Chad Cooper (Lorraine). Arlene also leaves her 8 adoring grandchildren, her great granddaughter and her brother Jim Davis and sister Betty Ann Davis. 

So many were blessed by this beautiful woman's life and testimony. Her life was characterized by her love for her Lord, her dear husband, her family, and for music and the students whom she could bless through her musical talents. Loving and serving others was her goal. Imparting her wisdom and comfort, she undoubtedly gave 100% of her heart to each conversation. Leading the way spiritually, she imparted much eternal wisdom to her children and grandchildren while she also earned their trust as a valuable listener. Her musical talents were numerous. The church benefited from her choir direction for many years. Lighting up the stage, as a soloist, she sang in numerous shows and concerts. Among her legacies, she inspired many new singers with her love for music. Playing the piano and singing with her young apprentices was one of her greatest joys in life.  

"We so dearly love our amazing wife, mom, friend, and mentor. You have made us all better people and live on greatly in our hearts! Thank you for living a Christian life that allows us to be together in Heaven someday. This is not goodbye!

The Cooper family will receive friends at the Fardale Trinity Church, 73 Chapel Road, Mahwah on Friday, May 4, 2018, 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Church. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions in Arlene’s name may be made to the Fardale Trinity Church. Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home of Wyckoff (www.vpfh.com).
