Obituary of Corrine Pastor

Corrine “Cookie” K. Pastor (nee Moers), 68, of Passaic/Paramus went to be with her Lord on February 2^nd, 2018. Loving and caring wife of the late Ernest R. Pastor, Sr. and very proud and devoted mother of Ernest R. Pastor, Jr. and his wife, Sarah Cinquegrana. Loving "Nana" to Noah James and Jonah Alexander Pastor, she lived for her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy and her reason for fighting on as she did. "We love you, Nana!"  Cookie, as she was known to those close to her, is also survived by her nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Carol Moers of Clifton. She is predeceased by her husband, her brother, Donald Moers, and her parents, Matthias Moers and Corrine Youngworth and step-father, Julius Youngworth. Cookie was a devoted friend and a hard worker. Cookie lived most of her life in Clifton and Passaic before moving to a long-term care facility in Paramus. For two decades she taught Sunday School at St. John Lutheran Church in Passaic, NJ and for several years served as the Sunday School Superintendent. Prior to retiring, she had been employed for twenty years as a school crossing guard in the city of Passaic, NJ and before that she worked for almost twenty years at Horowitz Bookbinders in Fairfield, NJ.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 7^th at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. All are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 9^th at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 233 S. Highwood Ave, Glen Rock, NJ 07452. Interment in the church’s memorial garden will immediately follow the service with a repast in the church fellowship hall thereafter.
