Obituary of James W. O'Neill, Jr.

James “Jay” W. O’Neill, Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 65. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in Manhattan, the city he loved and was a long time resident of Ramsey,NJ. Jay was a devoted familyman and was blessed with so many wonderful friends he considered part of his family.  He enjoyed golf at the Ramsey Golf and Country Club where he was a member. Jay was the Director of Contract Sales for Kirby Corporation at its Lodi, New Jersey branch and a parishioner of the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Jay is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Ann O’Neill; daughter Meghan O’Neill Weber, her husband Andrew; two sons: James O’Neill; Brian O’Neill; three brothers: Jerry O’Neill, his wife Tracey; Tim O’Neill; Colin O’Neill, his wife Eileen; and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 7 – 9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.  The funeral mass for Jay will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m., at Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Rd., Upper Saddle River, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
