Obituary of Cynthia Kleinknecht

Cynthia Kleinknecht, age 87 of Franklin Lakes, NJ died December 13, 2017.  Cynthia was a long time resident of Ridgewood, NJ where she and her husband George raised their family of five children.  Cynthia is survived by her four daughters: Nancy Rhodes, Karen Kleinknecht, Laurie Lerner and Lee Sherpa.  Also survived by those left to carry on her legacy is her seven grandchildren: Jameson and Weston Kleinknecht, Matthew Lockey, Liora Longino, Kameron and Adeira Sherpa and Tabitha Rose and 1 great grandson, Jackson Rose.  Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, George W. Kleinknecht and a son, Russel G. Kleinknecht.  Cynthia was affectionately known as “Pixie” by her oldest and dearest friends who will miss her dearly.  She was active in First Night-Ridgewood, NJ, Education, Hospice and Alternative Medicine.  Her passion were nature, music, stained glass and was a fabulous cook.  Cynthia was creative and enjoyed making floral designs.  She will be missed by her family and friends for her humor and unique personality.  A private memorial service is planned for the immediate family.  As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Cynthia’s memory may be made to Historic Huguenot Street, www.huguenotstreet.org,  88 Huguenot Street, New Paltz, NY 12561.
