Obituary of Anthony Quartarone

Anthony C. Quartarone, 91, of Mahwah, died on Thursday, January 4, 2018.  Born in East Boston, MA, he lived in Wesley Hills, NY for 43 years before moving to Mahwah 10 years ago.

Tony enlisted in the US Navy in December 1944 and was assigned and served as a SeeBee on the Island of Siapan during World War II.  Tony was the National Supervisor of Sales Training for Nestle Inc. in White Plains, NY until he retired in 1980. 

He is survived by his three children: John A. Quartarone of Mahwah, Doreen A. Hotchkiss of Underwood, WA and Lisa M. Costantino of Mahwah, his seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Agnes in 2010.

Tony will be remembered as a great father, terrific grandfather/great grandfather and a loyal friend.

The family will receive friends on Sunday 2 – 4 & 6 - 8 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home,  www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 am at St. Paul’s Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey, NJ.  Entombment will follow at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
