46 years ago this past July, I wore a beautiful headpiece at my wedding designed and made by Mrs DeYoung.. My mother Sophia Verblaauw Hook asked her to make this for me. It was beautiful and I still have it in the box that she gave it to me in that day.
I often saw her in CHCC volunteering or helping do whatever was needed to be done. She was such a "real lady".
