Obituary of Ann M. Nally
Ann M. Nally passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and was a resident of Hillsdale and Park Ridge before moving to Mahwah. Ann was a school teacher teaching various subjects in the Hillsdale and Wyckoff school systems for 25 years. She loved being outdoors and especially loved to swim, garden, play tennis, and ski. She was an avid golfer where she and her husband, Richard, were long time members of the Ridgewood Country Club. She loved reading and most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family. Ann is survived by her husband, Richard G. Nally to whom she was married to for 61 years; two daughters: Patricia A. “Patty” Schein, her husband Steve, Elizabeth A. “Liz” Thompson, her husband Allen; five grandchildren: Casey, Maggie, Ted, Michael and Amanda; a brother Hugh Riley, his wife Geraldine, and is predeceased by her brother Richard Riley. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’ s Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey. Entombment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery/Mausoleum in Mahwah. Contributions in Ann’s memory to the Alzheimer’s of New Jersey, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
