Obituary of Harold T. Hansen
Harold T. Hansen passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the age of 87. Born in Union City, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Wyckoff, NJ. Harold served in the U.S. Army where was assigned to the privileged honor of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C. He was the former owner of Hansen’s Texaco and Midtown Mobil in Wyckoff, a parishioner of the Church of the Nativity, a member of the American Legion Post No. 130 both located in Midland Park, NJ, and worked for the Wyckoff school system as a grounds supervisor. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Dolores; a daughter Denise J. Hansen, her husband Richard Dombal; three sons: Kevin J. Hansen, his wife Theresa, Keith T. Hansen, his wife Anne, Michael B. Hansen, his wife Sharon; eight grandchildren: Jason, Christopher, Scott, Marina, Warren, Nils, Tyler and Kyle. Also survived by his brother David Hansen and a nephew Sean Hansen. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St., Midland Park, NJ 07432. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
