Obituary of Alice J. Monsees

Alice J. Monsees passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the age of 90. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was a long time resident of Waldwick, NJ. Alice was a homemaker and had a vacation home in Walton, NY where she loved to sleigh ride. She also loved to swim laps daily. Alice is predeceased by her husband Harold K. Monsees and her daughter Alice J. “Jane” Monsees. She is survived by her daughter Patricia A. Lawler, her husband Pat, her son Stephen K. Monsees, his wife Debra and six grandchildren: Patrick, Stephen J., E.J., Stephen, Jr., Christina and Kristen and a sister Elaine Groendyk. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. The funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
