Obituary of Ralph DeBruin

DeBRUIN, Ralph, 54 of Midland Park, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born in Paterson, Ralph was raised in Oakland and moved to Midland Park 30 years ago. Ralph was a 1980 graduate of Indian Hills High School in Oakland and attended Satellite Vocational School. For the past 25 years he has been the owner and president of R & R Truck Maintenance in Midland Park. His passion was drag racing with his family and could always be found on the weekends at a racetrack. He also enjoyed an afternoon ride on his Harley with his wife Cathie. Surviving is his loving wife of 29 years, Cathie, and his devoted children Michael and Danielle. Ralph also leaves his father and mother, Ralph and Elsie, his sisters, Cheryl and Susan. The DeBruin family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2017, 2:00 until 6:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff.
