Obituary of Paul C. Balch Jr.

Balch, Paul C. Jr., age 93, of Mahwah, passed away on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017. Paul was born in Boston, MA and lived in Glen Rock for 52 years before moving to Mahwah 10 years ago. Paul was a Mechanical Engineer at Bendix for 20 years and then an Instrumentation Engineer for Stone and Webster Engineering Corp. in New York City. After his retirement, he was employed with Arthur Groom & Co. Jewelers in Ridgewood for 19 years. Paul was also a Lieutenant in the Glen Rock Auxiliary Police for over 50 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor, his son, Richard and his wife, Ruthanne, and his son, David and his wife, Kathy. Also surviving are his grandchildren – Steven, Kimberly, Katie, Brittany, Kelsey, and Hannah. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Esther Balch. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25th from 1-3pm, with a memorial service following at 3pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ.
