Obituary of Clarence P. Wall

Clarence P. Wall “C.P.” passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the age of 95. Born and raised in Elbridge, NY, he lived in Mahwah, NJ and Vero Beach, FL, before moving to Wayne, NJ. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was part of the first jet squadron in the U.S. Before retiring, C.P. was an airline pilot for Eastern Airlines in New York. He was an original member of the “Boys of Syracuse” Air National Guard, a member of the Retired Eastern Airlines Pilots Association, and was a founding member of the Codgers softball team in Vero Beach, FL. C.P. is predeceased by his wife, Rita J. Wall. Survivors include his five daughters: Sally Campagnone, Beverly Van Buren, her husband Richard, Cynthia Wall, Diana Winarchik, her husband Bruce, Barbara Fowler, her husband Sam; 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren; his sister Charlotte Sheets and 4 nieces and a nephew. Receiving of Friends will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 3 – 7 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. In lieu of flowers contributions in Clarence’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
