Obituary of Veronica J. Harty

Veronica “Ronnie” Harty peacefully passed away in her sleep Wednesday, January 25th 2017 at the ripe ‘ole age of 87. Ronnie, a devoted twin sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was born in East Harlem, New York on April 10th 1929. A long time resident of Bergen County, Ronnie persevered through innumerable challenges, worked hard her entire life, and never feared what life threw her way. Her strength, bravery, determination and unique euphemisms (“You’re slower than glue going uphill!”) and perspectives on life inspired her family, friends, and those who had the opportunity to meet her. Ronnie is survived by her best friend and twin sister Virgina Tumio, her younger Brother Robert Andriuolo, her two sons Thomas and Michael Vanacore, her daughter’s-in-law Andrea and Maria Vanacore, her three grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Amanda, her great-granddaughter Isabella and father Matthew and three step-grandchildren Barbara, Eddie and Jimmy She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved with all her heart. A much loved hilarious, honest, brave, and kind woman, Veronica was and will always remain a mother to us all.
