Obituary of Albert J Brenkert, Jr.

Brenkert, Albert, Jr., age 76, of Waldwick, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Queens, NY and had resided in Waldwick for the past 49 years. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of Direct Fastening Service Corp. in Manhattan. Albert served his country as a US Marine. He was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park and a former member of the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Albert was predeceased by his wife, Ann Brenkert in 2015 and his brother, Rev. Edward Brenkert in 2001. He is survived by his three sons: Craig and his wife, Rebecca of Midland Park, Brian and his wife, Tricia of Bloomingdale and Robert and his wife, Hope of Monroe, NY, his five grandchildren: Christopher, Aiden, Nicole, Ellie and Ethan. Also surviving are his two sisters: Irene Perkins of Staten Island, NY and Geraldine Van Vort of Maspeth, NY and his brother, Conrad Brenkert of Orwell, OH. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017, 9:30 AM at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ 07432.
