Obituary of William Alicakos
Alicakos, William age 86 of Waldwick died Friday, January 13, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY he lived in Paramus, before moving to Waldwick in 1994. Bill was a Restaurateur who owned and operated Nickels Alley Restaurant of Paramus, The Under Pass Restaurant of Ramsey, and the Peter Pan Diner of Union. He was an Army veteran who served from 1947 – 1950. He was an active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Wyckoff.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 61 years, Hope (nee Colosenta) Alicakos of Waldwick, his daughter, Elaine Alicakos and her husband Robert Everett of Wyckoff, his daughter in law, Kathy Alicakos, his five grandchildren, Michael, Colleen, Kellie Alicakos and Maxwell and Melanie Everett. He was predeceased by his son, Evan P. Alicakos in 2014.
Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 10 am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 467 Grandview Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Memorial Contributions to St. Nicholas Church would be appreciated.
