Obituary of Carol A. Thielke

Carol A. Thielke passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91 on Monday, October 24, 2016. Born in Manhattan, NY, she was a long time resident of Glen Rock, NJ. Before retiring, Carol was an assistance branch manager at Citizen’s Bank in Ramsey, NJ. She was a devoted member of the Community Church of Glen Rock; one of the original founders and president of the Friends of the Glen Rock Arboretum for many years; a Master Gardener; and a Certified Emergency Response Team member. Her husband John T. Thielke passed away in 1978. Carol is survived by her two sons: John K. Thielke, his wife Kiki; James H. Thielke, his wife Janice; and daughter Karen Ricciardi, her husband Robert. Eight grandchildren: Christine Bingham, her husband Critter, John K. Thielke II, his wife Ann; Margaret Crowley, her husband James; Allison Kopcha, her husband Joseph; Sarah Thielke; Anthony Ricciardi, his wife Brielle; Leigh Russo, her husband Bryan; and Heather Ricciardi. Five great grandchildren: John, Kevin, Dacks, Cali, Liliana, and Daniel. A Memorial Service with reception following for family and friends of Carol’s will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Community Church of Glen Rock, 354 Rock Rd., Glen Rock, NJ, 07452.
