Vita Kinz

Obituary of Vita Kinz

KINZ Vita, (nee Coan) of Franklin Lakes, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2016. Born in Morristown, Vita was raised in East Hanover and lived in Little Falls and Lincoln Park before moving to Franklin Lakes 20 years ago to raise her family. She was a Court Reporter for the State of New Jersey, working in the Passaic and Bergen County Court systems. Vita was an amazingly kind and loving person, who tugged on the heart strings of all who knew her. Although gentle in spirit, she had the heart of a lion, as evidenced by her lengthy battle with cancer, throughout which she displayed inspiring strength, dignity, and grace. Vita’s passing has left a deep void in those who loved her, but it will be filled by the wonderful love and memories that she leaves behind as her legacy. She is survived by her husband Douglas, her daughters Kristi-Ann Kinz and Anna Kinz, her mother, Angela Coan of East Hanover, and her siblings, Chip Coan, Jamie Coan, Rachelle Coan, and Lee DiSarno. Vita was predeceased by her father James Coan in 1998. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 312 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Entombment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Arrangements by the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vita’s memory can be made to the ASPCA, www.aspca.org, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929 or the Paralyzed Veterans of America, www.pva.org, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH, 03086.
