Obituary of Anthony V. Rizzo

RIZZO, Antonino “Andy” age 84 of RiverVale, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Born in New York City, Anthony lived most his life in Paramus before moving to River Vale 5 years ago. Anthony was a self-employed carpenter working under the company name of Paradell Construction in Paramus. Anthony served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Later in life finding his joy as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Angelina (nee Kamand), his devoted children, Donna and her husband Doug Holmgren, Gina and her husband Jan Moretti, Michael Rizzo and his partner Edward Hahn, Jr. MD and Anthony Rizzo and his wife Cynthia. Anthony also leaves his seven grandchildren, Danielle, Andrea, Emily, Christopher, Nicholas, Anthony and Benjamin, his brother, Joseph Rizzo and his wife Ruth and his sister Josephine Masci. The Rizzo family will receive friends on Sunday, 1:00 until 4:00 PM followed by a memorial talk at 4:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ . Committal prayer will be said at the All Faiths Mausoleum in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus on Monday at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Anthony’s name may be made to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
